Terms of Service

Last updated: June 21, 2026

Plain-English terms for using Convexy. Reading the whole thing takes about two minutes.

1. The deal

Convexy is made by Pocket Atelier LLC and sold on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Once you complete the one-time in-app purchase, you receive a non-transferable license to use Convexy's paid features on supported devices tied to the Apple Account or Google account you bought it with, subject to Apple's and Google's store rules. Family sharing, where available, is controlled by the relevant store and varies by platform, country, and purchase type — notably, Google Play does not share in-app purchases through Family Library.

2. The free trial

Convexy starts with a 14-day free trial that begins automatically the first time you open the app. The trial gives you the full feature set. After 14 days, conversions are gated behind the one-time purchase; built-in tools (PDF merge / split, QR code generator, archive compress/extract, file checksums, and opening encrypted files) remain free forever. Creating encrypted files is part of the one-time purchase.

3. What we promise

We intend to provide updates and bug fixes while Convexy remains available on its stores. Some updates may depend on operating-system changes, store review, device support, and third-party framework availability, so we make no warranty that any specific future OS release will be supported. Because Convexy has no servers, your installed copy keeps working on its own; if we ever stop selling it, we will make reasonable efforts to publish a final update, though store review or delisting may prevent one.

4. What you agree not to do

You agree not to:

5. Your files stay on your device

Convexy performs every conversion locally using your operating system's built-in frameworks. Convexy does not upload your files. If you choose a cloud-backed location, share a file to another app, or use platform backup/sync features, those services may handle your files under their own terms. There is no Convexy server, no Convexy account, and no telemetry tied to your file content. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

6. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple or Google. To request a refund:

We will honor any refund Apple or Google grants.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Convexy is provided "as is." We've tested it carefully and use it ourselves every day, but software has bugs. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Conversion results can vary by format, codec, operating system, and device, and we can't guarantee that every file, metadata field, layout, codec, archive, or encrypted file will convert perfectly. Keep backups of anything important, and check converted files before you delete the originals.

8. Limitation of liability

Our maximum liability for any claim related to the app is the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, the "Last updated" date at the top changes. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas. Nothing in these terms limits or removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
