Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
The short version: The Convexy app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your data. Your files never leave your device. There's no Convexy server holding your files — nothing of yours for us to lose or leak. (This marketing site uses privacy-friendly analytics — see below.)
What Data We Collect
The Convexy app collects no personal data, usage data, analytics, diagnostics, or telemetry of any kind — the only information we ever receive is what you choose to send us by email (see Support Email below). This marketing site (convexy.app) uses a privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics tool — see the Website analytics section.
How Your Files Are Processed
All file conversions happen entirely on your device using the operating system's built-in frameworks (CoreImage / AVFoundation / PDFKit on iOS; BitmapFactory / Media3 / PDFBox on Android). Your files are:
- Read from where you selected them (Photos / Gallery, Files, or another app)
- Copied to a temporary working directory on your device
- Converted locally using on-device processing
- Saved to the location you choose (Photos / Gallery, or Files)
- Temporary copies are deleted as soon as a conversion finishes — or cleared by the operating system's temporary-storage cleanup if the app is interrupted first
Convexy never uploads your files. If you read from or save to a cloud-backed location (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Photos/Gallery sync, and the like) or share or export a file to another app, that destination handles it under its own privacy policy — that is your choice, not something Convexy does. Conversions themselves run fully offline.
Network Access
Convexy makes no network requests except for:
- Apple StoreKit (iOS) / Google Play Billing (Android): To verify your purchase status and process the one-time in-app purchase. This communication is between your device and the App Store / Google Play, handled entirely by the operating system. Convexy has no server of its own.
The app functions fully without an internet connection. You can enable Airplane Mode and every feature works normally (except purchasing).
When you buy or install Convexy, Apple and Google process your purchase, download, and — if you have opted into sharing diagnostics with developers — crash data, each under its own privacy policy. Convexy runs no analytics or crash reporting of its own and never receives this data tied to your identity.
Accounts and Authentication
Convexy does not require or support user accounts, logins, email addresses, or any form of authentication. You open the app and use it.
Support Email
If you email support@convexy.app, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, held by our email provider. We use it only to reply to you — never for marketing, and we never sell or share it. Ask us and we'll delete the correspondence.
Third-Party Services
The Convexy app uses no analytics services, crash reporters, ad networks, or tracking tools. The app uses only the platform's native frameworks plus a small number of open-source libraries for specific conversions (e.g., Media3, PDFBox, FFmpegKit on Android). None of these contact any server.
Website analytics
This marketing site (convexy.app) uses Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool we self-host on our own infrastructure. It does not set cookies, does not store IP addresses, and does not track visitors across sites — we use it only to see which pages get traffic. The Convexy app itself does not load Umami or any other analytics.
Trial and Purchase Data
When you first open Convexy, a trial start date and your local trial/purchase flags are saved on your device — in the iOS Keychain on iOS, or in app preferences on Android. They are used only to track how many days remain in your 14-day free trial and to remember your one-time unlock. Convexy never sends them to any server of ours. Because these values are designed to survive reinstalling the app, they may be included in your own encrypted device backup (iCloud on iOS, Google's backup on Android) if you have device backups enabled — that backup belongs to the platform, is encrypted, and is never accessible to us.
Purchase status is managed by the platform's StoreKit (iOS) or Google Play Billing (Android) on your device. Convexy does not operate any server to track purchases.
Children's Privacy
The Convexy app does not collect data from anyone, including children. The app contains no social features, no user-generated content, and no communication capabilities.
Data Retention and Deletion
Convexy has no servers, so there is nothing about you stored on our side to retain or delete. On your device, the only Convexy data is your trial date, your purchase flags, and temporary working files — deleting the app removes them, and you can clear app data anytime in your device settings. Purchase and download records are held by Apple or Google under their own policies. If you have emailed us, ask and we'll delete that correspondence.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
